Melville Cockburn Chamber of Commerce

Testimonials

Logan K Howlett, JP Mayor, City of Cockburn
I am delighted to have seen first-hand many of the significant achievements of the MCCC during the past year. The opportunities for owners and representatives of small to medium enterprises together with representatives of local government to network in a relaxed and informative atmosphere has been outstanding. Learning about individual businesses and their strategic thinking has created business growth outcomes and demonstrated the value of the MCCC to those with a passion to make a difference.

My congratulations to the MCCC Chair, Clr Tony Romano, City of Cockburn and the committee members for their astute leadership throughout the year. A big thank you to Louise Towler, Executive Officer, and other staff members for their drive, enthusiasm and communication with members and prospective members.

Russell Aubrey Mayor, City of Melville
This year has been an outstanding year for the MCCC, providing small to medium business across the Melville Cockburn district with excellent networking events and unique opportunities to share information and collaborate with likeminded business and government representatives from the local area.

Particular mention must go the MCCC Chair Tony Romano, Louise Towler Executive Officer, committee members and MCCC staff who have worked tirelessly throughout the year to promote the business interests of the Melville Cockburn district with determined commitment and passion.

With strong momentum building, I look forward to seeing more local businesses getting involved as the MCCC moves into the future, continuing to make a strong positive impact on the way we do business.

Madaleine Byers Employer Consultant
EDGE Employment Solutions has recently joined the MCCC , with the main aim being to educate businesses regarding the employment of people with disabilities.

EDGE has been a Disability Employment Service Provider for 28 years and is the largest provider of services within the Perth metropolitan area. Over 5500 jobs for approximately 2300 jobseekers have been secured and supported into employment during this time, with support continuing once employment has been gained.

The MCCC has proven to be a valuable platform for EDGE to reach many businesses within the southern corridor and has given EDGE the opportunity to promote the employment of people with disabilities.

Jan Chubb The Cocoa Connection Chocolate Workshops
The MCCC is my primary source of business networking. I find very concrete and real opportunities come to my business through it. As a bonus, Chamber events are always fun, friendly and inclusive.

This year I was awarded a City of Cockburn Sustainability Grant. This has both raised the profile of my business and established awareness in the community. I would definitely not have been aware of this opportunity without the Chamber’s input.

I thoroughly recommend joining.
