Committee of Management

The Melville Cockburn Chamber of Commerce is managed by a Committee of Management, known as the Executive Committee. This Committee consists of 13 Ordinary Members or their representatives.

The Executive Committee

The Executive Committee (EC) consists of 13 Members from which the following office bearers are elected:

President;
Senior Vice President;
Junior Vice President;
Secretary; and
Treasurer.

The EC and it’s Officer Bearers are elected at the Annual General Meeting.

At any given AGM only half the elected positions become vacant; with each elected member serving for a period of two years. Committee Members who hold Office Bearer positions do so for a period of one year, except in the case of the President who holds this officer for two years.

A representative from the Cities of Melville and Cockburn also sit on the committee. These representatives are appointed by their respective councils.
