The Murdoch Activity Centre is a planned 64-hectare urban centre – and at its hub will be the new $1.76billion Fiona Stanley Hospital.
Located at Murdoch in the heart of a growing southern metropolitan corridor, Fiona Stanley Hospital will be a catalyst for local and regional growth and development and will generate economic investment and local employment opportunities.
|
Scheduled for construction completion in late 2013, the 643-bed Fiona Stanley Hospital will be the major tertiary hospital servicing the south metropolitan area. It will provide a range of acute medical and surgical services, offer a major trauma centre and be the home of the State burns centre.
As part of a wider health, education and research precinct, the Fiona Stanley Hospital will drive private and commercial developments in the Murdoch area and surrounding regions.
