Benefits

There are a number of significant benefits that the Melville Cockburn Chamber of Commerce can offer, but primarily for the interactive networking of local businesses.

In order to get closer to local Government and utilise this facility as a spokesperson on behalf of local companies.

Each member receives the membership directory and a calendar list of forthcoming meetings and events. It is then up to those new members to participate in the MCCC arranged functions.

A copy of the Constitution which highlights the organisation and the manner in which we are expected to conduct our business based on a code of ethics and integrity.

Your business will benefit by the MCCC raising its profile and membership, not only through the distribution of newsletters to existing members, but also to other Chambers of Commerce, Local Government, other business associations, potential members and other selected parties.

Your business will also benefit from the initiatives taken by the MCCC, through exposure by direct and indirect advertising to a large business audience. Your name, logo and products/services will reach a potential target market in your local proximity.

The Chamber acts as a facilitator in the transfer of knowledge from all its members and a central forum of business needs and requirements. Many businesses have utilized this facility in respect of sourcing equipment, personnel and products and services.

The MCCC Business After Hours Functions

MCCC provides a number of opportunities through Business After Hours functions that allows current members and potential members to network in a social environment, but for business purposes.

This networking also includes utilising the ongoing services of the Executive Officer in assisting members to network and utilise the services and products of other members.

Business After Hours (BAH) functions are held each month throughout the year at various business houses. Combined Chambers functions are held with the WA Chinese Chamber of Commerce and the International Business Council allowing the MCCC the opportunity to interact and meet members of other Chambers.

A nominal fee is charged to all guests attending the functions with quality guest speakers sourced to assist small businesses.

Ability to gain publicity on localised issues

Government Policy affecting small businesses, tax, transport issues, stamp duty, security, and achievements will be part of the communication process to all members through the website.
