The Space Station is a specialist marketing consultancy led by Pete Walmsley. Pete ‘launched’ the Space Station in 2009 to deliver informed creative ‘thinking’ to assist medium sized organisations to navigate their markets and achieve their growth ambitions.
This differs from the traditional marketing agency with a strong focus on creative ‘design’. The issue with this traditional model is that the design team must be fed – leading to a strong bias towards design solutions when in most cases good ‘thinking’ is far more beneficial. This traditional agency model also carries with it considerable overheads that are inevitably passed on to clients.
The Space Station still has a strong capacity for design solutions, partnering with some of the best designers in the industry. This enables The Space Station to have design on tap as opposed to always being part of the sales process.
Another key driver of the Space Station’s success is a culture in which they pride themselves on spending quality time working in clients’ businesses rather than their own boardroom.
