Conditions of Entry

Eligibility Verification:
To be eligible, your business must be based in City of Melville or operate within the City of Melville boundaries.
Both members and non-members of Melville Cockburn Chamber of Commerce (MCCC) are eligible to nominate.
MCCC reserves the right to verify the eligibility of all nominees and may request additional documentation or information to substantiate claims made in the nomination.

Confidentiality Agreement:
All information provided in the nomination process will be treated confidentially by the MCCC and its judging panel and will only be used for the purposes of assessing nominations and administering the awards.

Non-Discrimination Policy:
MCCC is committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion. Discrimination on the basis of race, gender, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, or any other protected characteristic will not be tolerated in the nomination or judging process.

Withdrawal of Nomination:
Nominations may be voluntarily withdrawn by the nominator at any time prior to the judging process. Requests for withdrawal must be submitted in writing to the Awards Coordinator.

Nominee Misconduct:
Nominees who have been misleading in their submissions or whose activities are not aligned with MCCC may be withdrawn from the judging process or have Awards revoked.

Judging Process:
All decisions and recommendations made by the judging panel are binding and confidential.
The Awards judges reserve the right to move an Award nomination to a more appropriate category if they deem it necessary.
A formal appeals process will be available to nominees who wish to challenge the outcome of the judging process. Appeals must be submitted in writing to the Awards Coordinator within 1 week of the awards ceremony and will be reviewed by an independent panel.

Use of Nomination Material:
By submitting a nomination, you agree that MCCC and City of Melville are entitled to use information and images contained in the nomination to promote the awards, provided they have the appropriate internal copyright clearances.

Media Engagement:
The entrant(s) accept that they or their organisation may be required for media interviews in respect of their entry.

Attendance Requirement:
A representative of your organisation must attend the awards ceremony to receive any awards you may receive. Failure to attend may result in forfeiture of the award unless prior arrangements have been made and approved by the Awards Coordinator.

Nomination Deadline:
All nominations must be received by the published deadline. Nominations received after this date will not be considered.

Applicant Declaration:
The nominator must enter their details in the applicant declaration section of the online form, declaring:
 Authorisation to complete, sign, and submit the application.
 Understanding and acceptance of the Conditions of Entry.
 Willingness to provide further clarification or documentation if required.
 Assurance of the truth, accuracy, and completeness of the information provided.
 Acknowledgement of the seriousness of providing false or misleading statements.

Confirmation Email:
Email confirmation with receipt of nomination will be emailed to the nominated contact person within three working days of receiving the nomination. If the contact person from your organisation does not receive a confirmation email, it is the responsibility of that organisation to contact the Awards Coordinator.

By submitting your application for the Awards, you agree that you have read, understood, and accept these conditions.

Award Sponsorship
Each award will have one exclusive sponsor at a cost of $3000, which is non-refundable. Businesses have the option to sponsor multiple awards.
