Present “Grant writing essentials”

Presented by Alex Hodges, Funding Consultant at Whitney Consulting – WA’s largest specialist grant writing company supporting clients secure over $130 million in funding for projects in the last 7 years.

The purpose of the Grant Essentials Workshop is to improve grant writing skills and knowledge and to prepare you to apply for any grant. At the conclusion of the workshop you will have a better understanding of what grant assessors are looking for in grant applications and have the confidence and knowledge to apply for grants.

You will be provided with a Grant Writing Checklist and a Project Plan template to use for planning projects and writing grant applications.

This workshop designed for both community groups and business will include:

  • An introduction to grants, including what they are, information on where to find them and an explanation of eligibility and assessment criteria,
  • The process of best-practice project planning to prepare for grant success,
  • Information on how to address grant criteria,
  • An explanation of the grant writing approach; what are assessors looking for and how do you give them what they need?
  • Answers to specific grant writing questions the attendees may have.
