Join Murdoch Uni and Melville Cockburn Chamber of Commerce for this Free Speaking & Networking event Featuring Nicole Lockwood – Independent Chair Westport Taskforce
Nicole was appointed Chair of the Westport Taskforce in 2017 and leads the delivery of an integrated strategy to plan a modern port to meet future growth of Perth and its surrounding regions for the next 50–100 years. She has a passion for government reform, regional and economic development and the creation of thriving communities which has acquired from diverse work and community experience.
As Founder and Director of Lockwood Advisory, Nicole provides strategic advice to government and the private sector in the areas of urban renewal, infrastructure, freight efficiency and digital enablement. This interest and experience has resulted in appointments as Chair of the Freight and Logistics Council and Deputy Chair of Leadership WA as well as board positions with Infrastructure Australia, Internet of Things Alliance and the Water Corporation.
A Pilbara resident for seven years until 2012, Nicole was Chairman of the Pilbara Development Commission, member of the WA Planning Commission, Director on the Horizon Power board and Councillor for the Shire of Roebourne. From 2009 to 2011, Nicole was Shire President of Roebourne, one of the fastest growing local government areas in the country.
