David leads a team that plans and manages the delivery of DevelopmentWA’s general industrial estates. He has almost 30 years experience in the property development industry. David joined DevelopmentWA in 2006 in an acquisitions and feasibility role. Ten years ago he transitioned into the Operations division and has been integral over that period for the planning and delivery of WA’s largest industrial estate – the 1,400ha master planned Latitude32. David is extensively experienced in de-constraining land for development including the delivery of key infrastructure and economically viable developer contribution plans for private investment. David has a Bachelor of Business (Valuation and Land Economy) and a Postgraduate Diploma in Project Management.

Matt Read Bio, 28 April 2021 Matt Read supervises the delivery of a diverse range of projects within the Perth Metropolitan area. Projects within Matt’s program include Cockburn Central and Cockburn Central West, Shoreline Estate at Cockburn Coast, 115 Hamilton Hill, Champion Lakes, White Gum Valley, Knutsford in Fremantle and Ocean Reef Marina. Matt has more than 20 years’ experience in planning and land development across public and private sectors and was previously responsible for DevelopmentWA’s Pilbara program. This work formed part of the State Government’s $1.1 billion Pilbara Cities initiative which ultimately delivered a diverse range of projects designed to create modern, permanent places to live in the North West. His current focus is on harnessing innovation to create well-planned, liveable and sustainable communities to meet the needs and challenges of a changing market. This involves extensive collaboration with key stakeholders across government, the private sector and the community to deliver high quality project outcomes. Matt holds an undergraduate degree in Urban and Regional Planning and a Graduate Certification in Project Management. He is well placed to discuss the future opportunities and challenges of land development in the ever-changing Perth market.

Peter brings a sound understanding of Local Government, deep technical skills in planning and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
